Silver Spring Networks Wins Smart Grid Product of the Year Award, Named 2015 Company to Watch

Today Silver Spring Networks (NYSE:SSNI) announced that its Gen5 networking platform has been recognized with a ‘Smart Grid Product of the Year’ award from SmartGrid.TMCnet.com. With major advancements in speed, latency, range, distributed intelligence, power optimization, and size, the Gen5 platform strengthens core smart grid operations, plus an emerging set of applications for real-time operations data, Distribution Automation, dynamic applications at the edge of the network, as well as smart city services for utilities, cities, and other network operators.

Silver Spring was also named a ‘2015 Smart Grid Company to Watch‘ by Smart Grid News for its impact on the modern grid, in particular its pioneering work in delivering large-scale, open, IPv6-based critical infrastructure networks.
