KB Home (NYSE:KBH) , one of the nation’s largest and most recognized homebuilders, today announced the successful grand opening of Iliff Commons in Aurora, where a number of invited and interested home shoppers lauded the community’s new home designs and open floor plans. KB Home plans to construct 119 new single-family homes at Iliff Commons, which offers convenient access to major roadways that connect to thriving employment corridors and a wide range of attractive outdoor recreational opportunities. With several flexible floor plans available, the new homes at Iliff Commons can accommodate the varying needs of today’s homebuyers, from growing households looking for more space to experienced homeowners looking to downsize to a single-story home.

“In addition to its convenient location, our homebuyers will appreciate the cul-de-sacs and open-space homesites available at Iliff Commons” said Matt Mandino, president of KB Home’s Colorado division. “And there’s been a lot of excitement about our unique approach to homebuilding that allows buyers to personalize their new home with the help of our design consultants in the KB Home Studio.”

Iliff Commons is east of Tower Road at Iliff Avenue and Dunkirk Street, and is close to Interstate 70, 225, and E-470, ideal for commutes to surrounding job, shopping and entertainment centers. Children can walk to Side Creek Elementary, which has been the winner of the Governor’s Award of Distinguished Schools three years in a row. Iliff Commons’ residents can also enjoy the nearby Quincy and Cherry Creek Reservoirs, Arapahoe County Fairgrounds and Great Plains Parks, as well as more than 6,000 acres of natural open space.

Iliff Commons offers eleven one- and two-story floor plans that range in size from 1,384 to 2,651 square feet, and can include up to six bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and three-car garages. Priced from the high $200,000s, the open-floor layouts of the KB homes built in Iliff Commons give buyers the ability to design their home the way they want it, with a loft or den, spacious family-style kitchens, large walk-in closets in master bedrooms, and basement options.

New KB homebuyers have the opportunity to further personalize their selected floor plan through KB Home’s unique homebuying experience, which allows them to incorporate several elements that reflect their individual style in the construction of their new home. Choices from flooring, appliances, lighting and cabinetry, to high-tech enhancements, such as whole-home audio systems, flat-panel prewiring, and more, provide each homebuyer with the chance to create a home that fits their own lifestyle and budget.

All KB homes are engineered to provide high energy efficiency for homebuyers, which helps them to save money on utility bills and to minimize their impact on the local environment.
