Knowles Corporation Appoints New Chief Technology Officer
Knowles Corporation (NYSE:KN) , a market leader and global supplier of advanced micro-acoustic solutions and specialty components, today announced that it has appointed a new technology leader to help architect the company’s long-term vision to deliver intelligent audio solutions.
Effective October 22, Alexis Bernard will lead Knowles’ global technology vision as chief technology officer. In his role, Bernard has responsibility for the technology strategy, roadmap, and partnerships.

Alexis’ history of leading transformational change makes him a good fit to steward our long-term technology solutions,” said Jeffrey Niew, President and CEO of Knowles. “Establishing and seizing the transformation of audio technology is a key component of Knowles’ growth strategy.”
Bernard comes to Knowles with more than 15 years of experience and is a recognized leader in technology development and corporate strategy. In particular, he brings expertise in audio signal processing. He was most recently chief technology officer at Audience, where he worked closely with the CEO on technology vision, corporate strategy and M&A. Bernard has held notable technology positions at several industry-leading, multinational companies including Nokia and Texas Instruments. He is credited for building high-performing technology and research organizations that support long-term business strategies. During his five years at McKinsey & Company, he provided strategic consultation to corporations in the technology space. Bernard holds an MSEE from the University of Louvain in Belgium, a PhD in electrical engineering from UCLA, and is an inventor on numerous patents and author of over 25 publications in digital communications and speech technology.

Bernard will work from Knowles’ newest facility in Sunnyvale, California. This office opened November 3rd and employs a group of engineers and technology managers. The Sunnyvale team will be focused on enabling the company’s advanced audio strategy and solutions.
