Build-A-Bear Workshop and Toys for Tots Join Team Santa to Help Children in Need Have a Happy Holiday
Build-A-Bear Workshop(R) is inviting Guests to join Team Santa to help all children have a special holiday season. The Company announced today that it will launch a national Stuffed with Hugs(R) event Nov. 14 through Nov. 16, where Guests will be invited to make a special bear for free to donate to Toys For Tots. This is the seventh consecutive year Build-A-Bear Workshop has supported The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation during the holiday season.
Now through Dec. 14, Build-A-Bear Workshop Guests can visit any store nationwide to make or donate new, unwrapped toys for local children in need. The Company will match each Guest’s donation, up to 20,000 with a Build-A-Bear Workshop furry friend. Guests can also make a monetary donation at checkout in stores and online at buildabear.com(R) through Dec. 31.
“The gift of giving is particularly gratifying during the holiday season,” said Gina Collins, chief marketing officer, Build-A-Bear Workshop. “We recently heard from Santa that the nice list is extra-long this year and Build-A-Bear Workshop wants to do its part in making sure that as many children as possible can have some fun and enjoyment this holiday. Toys for Tots is the perfect partner in helping us deliver joy to children in need of a teddy bear hug.”
“Toys for Tots is thrilled to be joining up with Build-A-Bear Workshop’s Team Santa this holiday season,” said Bill Grein, vice president, marketing and development, Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. “Part of the magic of the holiday season will surely be captured at Santa’s Workshops. Build-A-Bear Workshop is providing children and families with the chance to literally see their giving take shape through the unique bear-making experience. Toys for Tots is thrilled to once again be part of Build-A-Bear Workshop’s holiday fun and generosity.”
Over the last seven years, Build-A-Bear Workshop and its Guests have donated $7.8 million worth of toys and raised more than $1.7 million for Toys for Tots.
