VCA has partnered with award winning country music recording artist Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation’s Redemption Ranch, a private, no-kill shelter/sanctuary in Tishomingo, Oklahoma that celebrated its grand re-opening last weekend. VCA is providing Healthy Start Certificates that offer adoptive families a complimentary wellness exam and a limited health guarantee at any of the conveniently located general practice VCA animal hospitals.

“VCA is proud to partner with shelter/rescue organizations like Lambert’s MuttNation Redemption Ranch to help make the adoption process more convenient for families,” said Art Antin, Chief Operating Officer and Co-founder of VCA Animal Hospitals. “We understand that a newly adopted pet’s health is very important and our complimentary wellness exam provides reassurance for families that their new companion is healthy and ready for a forever home.”

MuttNation’s Redemption Ranch is a donation-supported organization working to end pet suffering and homelessness in the U.S. and abroad. The ranch sits on five acres in Lambert’s home town of Tishomingo, OK, and will serve as a crossroads for animals in crisis…in need of saving…in need of a second chance. Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation took over a government-run shelter, renovated it with improvements that include an Airstream office, larger kennels, new fencing, and an intensive care unit. The shelter works on an admission basis and has a capacity of 50 dogs.

The Foundation has raised more than $1.5 million since 2009 for treatment, housing and adoption of homeless dogs all over the world. The foundation also helps with spay and neuter efforts, medical treatments, as well as education and legislative campaigns for animals. Lambert is publicly well known for her love of animals and she and her husband, Blake Shelton, are parents to six rescue dogs.
