LifeLock Announces Two Key Additions to its Leadership Team
LifeLock, Inc. (NYSE:LOCK) , a leading provider of proactive identity theft protection services, announced the hiring of two senior leaders. Schwark Satyavolu has joined the company in the new position of executive vice president, product and technology, and Ty Shay will become chief marketing officer on March 9.
“We’re excited to have leaders of their caliber join our team,” said LifeLock President Hilary Schneider. “Both bring entrepreneurial spirit and deep expertise in their fields that sync with where LifeLock is now, and where we want to take the company.”
Satyavolu will be responsible for all aspects of LifeLock’s product and technology functions, including the company’s subsidiary ID Analytics. He has extensive experience in consumer web applications, financial services technology, product innovation, and security infrastructure. He co-founded Truaxis, a credit card statement and rewards platform, and served as CEO until the company was acquired by MasterCard where he became global head of rewards.
Previously, Satyavolu was an entrepreneur-in-residence with Bessemer Venture Partners, where he explored opportunities to leverage big data to solve real-world problems. He co-founded and developed the technology for Yodlee and delivered a number of innovations in security and financial data management. He served in a variety of functions at Yodlee over eight years, including chief technology officer.
Shay will oversee LifeLock’s consumer, brand and partner marketing. Most recently, he was chief marketing officer for SquareTrade where he owned the entire customer experience and partner marketing relationships. Previously, he founded FanIQ and grew it into a leading online sports community. He also held the chief marketing officer role for Hotwire, which he joined prior to the service’s initial launch and grew into a leading discount travel site. Shay was a key member of the team that launched Esurance. He started his career in brand management at Clorox and Procter & Gamble.
“Schwark and Ty both have outstanding track records as innovators who can foster and develop ideas, technology and products,” said LifeLock Chairman and CEO Todd Davis. “With their talents added to our strong leadership team, we believe we’ll be able to build on our strengths in order to accelerate our momentum while providing a best-in-class customer experience.”
