AmeriPride Selects Ultimate Software’s UltiPro to Help Manage 5,700 Employees
Ultimate Software (Nasdaq: ULTI), a leading provider of human capital management (HCM) solutions in the cloud, announced today that AmeriPride Services, Inc., one of the largest uniform rental and linen supply companies in North America with approximately 5,700 employees, has selected cloud-based UltiPro(R) for its easy-to-use comprehensive HCM features and Ultimate’s reputation for customer service and partnership.
Family-owned and founded in 1889, Minnesota-based AmeriPride operates more than 115 production facilities throughout the U.S. and Canada. Prior to selecting UltiPro, the company relied on six different solutions, including a payroll service bureau for HR and payroll, creating challenges and inconsistencies across the organization. With a large, disparate workforce, the company needed a solution that could handle the entire employee lifecycle and was accessible and easy to use. After completing its software review and receiving positive recommendations about Ultimate from an industry peer, AmeriPride evaluated and selected UltiPro in December 2014.
“AmeriPride needed a strong HCM solution to standardize, centralize, and simplify the systems that touch employees throughout their career with us,” said Steven John, CIO, AmeriPride. “We evaluated many vendors and eventually chose Ultimate based on third-party references from people we trusted, as well as the functionality, ease of use, and service support. Ultimate also has a great deal of experience providing HR and payroll services over the cloud, which played an important role in our decision.”
Having delivered UltiPro through the cloud since 2002, Ultimate offers a HCM solution that encompasses a broad range of features to help its customers recruit and retain their talent. Because UltiPro is accessible over the Web, employees can access and manage their information from anywhere and anytime. Ultimate extends its “People First” philosophy to include its solutions by always considering the needs of end users in the design process.
“Ultimate’s focus on people is reflected in the value that it places on customer relationships. When evaluating vendors, we spoke to current and prior customers about UltiPro’s features, as well as Ultimate’s reputation for service and partnership,” said John. “As we were looking at the level of service we would need from Ultimate, I had some very frank, long, and deep conversations. The cloud is a much deeper relationship. You rely on your provider for a higher level of service, including disaster recovery, hardware, software development, etc. It requires a much greater level of trust and we believe we have found that with Ultimate.”
“Our relationships with customers start with our first interactions, because we see them as partners for life,” said Greg Swick, chief sales officer, Ultimate. “We are very pleased that AmeriPride’s executives saw the value of our tenure in the SaaS industry, our product’s reputation for excellence, and our value in relationships. We welcome them to the Ultimate Software family.”
Headquartered in Minnetonka, Minn., AmeriPride Services is recognized as one of the largest textile rental and supply companies in North America. Operating more than 115 production facilities and service centers throughout the United States and Canada, the company provides linen and towels, uniforms, floor mats, restroom and cleaning products to nearly 150,000 customers through rental and purchase programs. As a true business partner, AmeriPride helps customers improve their image while keeping facilities clean and employees safe. Innovation, personalized service and a dedication to company values has sustained the private, family-owned company for more than 125 years.
