Avnet Technology Solutions Names Dee Dee Lear Senior Vice President of Emerging Channels for the Americas
Avnet Technology Solutions, the global IT solutions distribution leader and an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), today announced that it has named Dee Dee Lear as senior vice president of Emerging Channels for the Americas. Lear will be responsible for the strategic direction, expansion and growth of emerging channels, including system integrators (SIs), independent software vendors (ISVs), original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and various types of service providers (xSPs). She will lead Avnet Technology Solutions’ efforts to expand its market share and drive growth through new partner acquisition and partner expansion in the Americas. Lear’s responsibilities also include Avnet Technology Solutions’ operations in the Latin America and Caribbean region, a strategic and high-growth emerging market. She reports to Jeff Bawol, president, Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas.

With more than 26 years of experience in the technology industry, Lear brings a wealth of knowledge and unique perspective to this role. She has extensive leadership experience in sales, strategy and business development in addition to having successfully led organizations through business transformations. Her professional background includes time with a national integrator of technology-based solutions, a distributor of IBM mid-range server products, and a technology distributor.

She has received numerous awards for leadership, sales, management, and community achievements, including being inducted into the YWCA Academy of Women Leaders, named to CRN‘s Power 100 Women in the Channel, and selected as a CRN Channel Chief.
